After reviewing some weeks ago the great View Point 2 from DXO labs, this week I found out about a new excellent tool for straightening and perspective correct your images: the new feature that Adobe released into their Photoshop CC. We all know about the controversies around the new business model of Adobe for Photoshop software and even if some people complained about the need to pay monthly fee instead of buying a software for life, I still think that this CC is a great deal, especially because of getting new features much often than before, in the old major release way. So, what is this new feature about? It is a tool called “Perspective Warp” and as it name suggests it is intended to be used for correcting perspective. The first impression about it is that it is an extremely powerful tool; this mean in Adobe world that you can do great things with it but you can also royally screw up your images if used incorrectly. Another day, and totally different weather. Beautiful sunny Saturday with over 15 degrees, sun and a bit of mist on the sea. We planned a trip to Burnham-on-sea and a meetup with Catalin, a Romanian guy working in the area. Always nice to meet people and exchange opinions. We arrived there before noon, almost at the lowest tide, because we wanted to shoot the shipwreck on Berrow beach, quite a few kilometers from Burnham pier. The beach is so wide at low tide, alternating muddy areas with long slices of dry sands. It looks like everything is dry in the whole channel and you could easily walk past it to Wales. Wales is there, in the mist like a chimera. Interesting textures are left on the sand, especially some black powder on the perfectly smooth sand. Lots of people are walking their dogs, and we made a friend: a cute cocker bringing us a ball to throw it away. The owner, an old lady keeps moving in the other direction, while the cute dog gets back to out...

English Riviera has been crippled by the last February storms with an interruption of the rail, so that all the transportation in the area takes almost three times more then normal. This is the reason why our journey from Weston to Torquay was quite long. The hotel is pretty good, with no character but with all the comfort of a large chain as Premier Inn. Torquay does not really have a beach. At low tide, some portion of sand is uncovered but when sea gets bigger, everything is under water. I guy is making some interesting and very complex drawing on the sand; it dedicates it to someone called Carol who is in heavens now; probably a sad story behind all of these. After a quick lunch we take the train (and bus) to Dawlish Warren. Its cold and windy, with light rains at times. The beach is rather boring, with plenty of groins and nothing else.
